I love murder mysteries. I published my first murder mystery, Write Murder, this year. I’ve read the classics and I’m always on the look out for a new series that will whet my insatiable appetite for more. Liliana Hart’s Addison Holmes series is my new murder mystery discovery this year. In the eccentric southern town of Whiskey Bayou, Georgia, Addison, a school teacher trying to make some extra cash working at a strip club, stumbles into the murder of her boss, and then into a new career as a part time Private Investigator and the romantic foil of police detective Nick Dempsey. Of course, it’s our intrepid and inept amateur detective Addison Holmes who beats the professionals to a solution of the case. What’s not to love?! And, like my favorite Cracked Pepper Kettle potato chips, I can never have just one. Liliana Hart doesn’t disappoint there either. She’s got a whole series of Addison Holmes mysteries for us to enjoy, as well as a library full of her other works. Once the holiday decorating is done, I plan to curl up by the fire and spend the winter with Liliana and Addison – and maybe some of those Cracked Pepper Kettle Chips!
