Ep. 29 – Gay Panic Attack

“Gay panic”! It’s not just when Eric finds out he can’t watch the Oscars live. It’s the offensive and ridiculous notion that implying someone might be gay is so terrible that person is justified in doing all manner of awful things in response. Christopher and Eric  vent a little gay rage on this hideous and hypocritical concept in this, their second episode observing Pride Month. Their impassioned discussion touches on an episode of the new Netflix series TRIAL BY MEDIA and its coverage of the infamous Jenny Jones murder case, in which “gay panic” made an ugly and fatal appearance.

(If this episode sounds different from our others, that’s because it was recorded remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope to be back in our usual studio space as soon as public health advisories allow.)
