As Pride Month continues, Christopher and Eric demand more movies about gay fathers. Until they arrive, they’ll have to be content with moves like JOE BELL, the real life story of a father who was forever changed by his gay son’s devastating experience with high school bullying. Mark Wahlberg and Reid Miller deliver great performances, but with the same screenwriters as BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, does the movie live up the redemptive promise of its trailer? The answers are mixed, and leave Christopher and Eric with more questions. Also, Eric comes to terms with Christopher’s discovery that an old TDPS contract requires the return of one of the network’s most “memorable” correspondents.
